The 5th Odudu Music Awards will hold on Saturday 25th January 2014 at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt. It is the annual music awards event that has kept the musical artistes in the city of Port Harcourt busy and has provided the needed platform for the artistes to excel in their trade.
Every year, the event has witnessed increased participation by highly talented musical artistes as they submit their works for evaluation by the Academy, made up of professionals in the industry.
Some of the past ‘Artiste of the Year’ category winners have moved on to producing great songs that have national appeal. They include Burna Boy, Waconzy and Dantonio.
Speaking with Entertainment Rave, the President of the award, Micheal Ogolo said ‘the 5th edition of Odudu Music Awards is a special event as it is open to all Nigerian musicians. It will witness performances from top Nigerian musicians and this makes it a must-attend event in the city of Port Harcourt. It was moved from December 7, 2013 to allow for the centenary celebrations of the city of Port Harcourt last year’.

The event has also had in attendance the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and his wife, Dame Judith Amaechi, members of Nigerian Senate and House of Reps members , as well as Captains of Industries, sponsors and a crowd of music lovers and the press.
